  • US Chess will issue badges to all participants. Badges will be required to enter the defined playing area.
    • Each participant registration in the tournament is allowed a single Accompanying Person

Blitz Tournament - Side Event Entry Fees

  • $55 per player by 11/30/2026, 11:59pm EST
  • $85 after 11/30/2026 until Thursday 12/10, 2:00pm EST or on-site
  • $100 on Thursday, 12/10/2026, 2:00pm to 4:00pm EST  - Late Onsite-Only Entry Fee - at Chess Control only
  • Anyone entering on-site after 2pm will receive a half-point bye for Round 1.

Blitz Tournament - Side Events Service Charges

  • $40 Service Charge for all Withdrawal/Refund Requests after Monday, 11/30/2026, 11:59pm EST
  • $40 Service Charge for all Section Change Requests after Monday, 11/30/2026, 11:59pm EST
  • $40 Service Charge for all Roster Change Requests after Monday, 11/30/2026, 11:59pm EST
  • NO Refunds after Thursday, 12/10/2026, 11:00am EST (11am Thursday of event weekend)

Time control: G/3+2. 
When: Thursday, December 10th at 5pm.
Two Sections: K-12 and K-6

Awards for the Blitz tournament:
Medals for individuals, trophies for teams

  • K-12 Blitz Tournament: Top 15 individuals, Top 5 Teams
  • K-6 Blitz Tournament: Top 10 individuals, Top 5 Teams

Class medals for the Blitz Tournament to the top three in each of the following classes:

  • K-12 Blitz Tournament: 1600-1899; 1300-1599; 1000-1299; Under 1000.
  • K-6 Blitz Tournament: 1400-1699; 1100-1399; 800-1099; Under 800.

Awards Ceremonies

  • Check the Schedule for times and locations of the awards ceremony for your section.
  • Side Event awards will be presented prior to the start of rounds in the main playing hall.  Check the Schedule for times and locations of the awards ceremony for your side event.
