Format: 5 Rounds, Swiss System. All games are US Chess-rated. One half-point bye if requested prior to the start of Round 3.
One single section for scholastic (grades Pre-K through 12th) players rated Under 800.
Ratings for Sectioning and Prizes: We will use the September 2023 US Chess Rating Supplement (Regular OTB).
Entry Fees: $30 through Sat 9/16; $35 beginning Sun 9/17; $40 beginning 9/21 and onsite; HRCA will retain $5 for all withdrawals prior to Round 1 and refund the remainder. No refunds after Round 1 begins.

Cash, checks, debit/credit card swipes, PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App accepted for on-site entries. THIS EVENT IS CAPPED AT 40 PLAYERS BASED ON VENUE SIZE -- WALK-UP REGISTRATION IS NOT GUARANTEED.
Prizes: Trophies to Top 5 overall finishers, Top U500, Top U300, and Top Unrated. Medals to all other players with plus or even score. Ribbons to the remainder.
