$40 through 5/4, $50 through 5/11, $60 through 5/15. No entries onsite

8:15 - 8:45; arrive & check yourself in on the entry list. This is to ensure entrants are here for round 1 pairing.
Not checked-in = not paired for round 1.

Prizes:

Total Prizes: $900 based on 54 entries. 

Prizes per Section if Based-On Reached: 1st: $125 2nd: $100, 3rd: $75.

Prizes are paid digitally via PayPal or other means within ten business days of the event. PayPal Personal Accounts are free and allow transfers to your bank. Go to www.paypal.com, choose sign-up, and pick a personal account. Please ensure that the email address you use for entry is associated with a PayPal account. If PayPal is not available another electronic method will be used (Venmo, Deluxe e-check, Zelle) etc.

Equipment:

Bring chess clocks, none provided. Please know how to set your clock for delay & how to add time to the clock in case of a time penalty. Print out instructions and carry them with you.  Check YouTube for videos of your clock.

Lunch:

No lunch is provided/built-in for this event. You’ll need to bring lunch or go out for lunch.

Due to unpredictable event sizes, Caveman Chess reserves the right to reconfigure any tournament at the last minute. We will do our best to email you in advance and offer an opportunity to withdraw. We will also do our best to reconfigure in a way that keeps the basic spirit of the tournament and makes sense given the number of participants and that meets US Chess rules for minimum prizes.
