Main event 2026 Illinois Open Friday through Sunday

Trophies to top 10 in each section

ENTRY FEE: SECTIONS:
  • $35 online by 8/23
  • $40 online by 8/30
  • $50 day of or onsite
  • Onsite entries after 11:30am receive ½-point bye for round 1
  • US Chess membership required
  • Rounds Times
    • Round 1 - 10:30am
    • Round 2 - 11:40am
    • Lunch
    • Round 3 - 1:00pm
    • Round 4 - 2:10pm
    • Round 5 - 3:20pm
    • Awards - 4:30pm - or as soon as round 5 is complete
  • SECTIONS: Under 1200, Under 800 and Under 500
  • 5 Rounds at G/25;d5
  • Trophies to top 10 in each section
  • Participation award to all players
  • Open to players aged 18 and under
  • Must be rated at least 700 to play up into U1200 and at least 400 to play up into U800

Clocks provided for U1200 section
Clocks provided for U800 section but are optional
Notation is required for U1200 section and is optional for U800 and U500.
Refunds are subject to $10 processing fee

4 double rounds (one as white/one as black) at G/3;+2
Prizes for U1300 and U900 available
