2021 Nevada Girls’ Scholastic Chess Championship Online

Online at the Internet Chess Club (free 2 month membership included)

4 Rounds Game/25 +5

Schedule: 12:00 Noon, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:30 PM (all times PDT)

Players must be logged into ICC at play.chessclub.com/LVC at least 15 minutes before the round.

Entry fee: $25 by 4/5, $35 by 4/15.  No entries after 9 p.m. Thursday 4/15.

Trophies: Top 3

The winner will represent Nevada in the Ruth Haring National Girls’ Tournament of Champions

 

US Chess Membership is required
Please join or renew the player’s membership at www.uschess.org before registering for the tournament.

Players must reside in Nevada or be full time students at a Nevada school.

Fair play rules:

  • All games will be evaluated for fair play. There will be a 3-week delay in awarding prizes to allow for fair play analysis.
  • Players must have zoom camera front and side. (Zoom links will be posted at nevadachess.org)
  • When registering players must agree to fair play rules.
  • ICC determination of violation is binding.
  • Must belong to ICC – 2-month free membership included in entry fee. This means that a player who has been banned from ICC cannot play. No appeals.

There will be a practice blitz tournament Friday evening on ICC at 6 PM. All players in the championship are automatically registered, but participation in the blitz is optional.

Parents and coaches are encouraged to attend one of the Zoom orientation meetings on Friday Evening or Sunday Morning. Time and zoom links will be posted at NevadaChess.org by April 10th. 

You must also go to https://register.chessclub.com/LVC to link your username with your US Chess ID and with the Las Vegas Chess ICC group. If you do not have an ICC username you may create a new username at this link.

By registering a player you certify that you are the player's parent or legal guardian or authorized by the player's legal guardian to enter this event. You acknowledge that the player's name, username and US Chess ID will be published online.
