Please purchase USCF memberships in advance of the tournament as dozens of people trying to buy memberships delays the start of the event.  Advance registration is very strongly encouraged for the same reason to avoid delays in getting the event started.

Boys Town National Headquarters is located at 14100 Crawford on the vast Boys Town Campus.  If you have never been to this building it is very highly recommended that you use a phone map navigation device so avoid getting lost.

The Unrated section is for players who have never experienced a chess tournament before.  Adults and children with expired memberships should register for their appropriate rated section and renew their membership.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SUPERVISION FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN.

Students not in high school must have an adult present, such as a coach, older sibling or parent during the event.  Boys Town Headquarters is a fabulous facility for a chess tournament as those who attended July's chess camp will attest.  We are guests of Boys Town and misbehavior will not be tolerated.  No running, horsing around or going outside down in the fireplace commons by the lake.  There is a lunch break provided for all of the rated sections, so parents should feel free to take their children to lunch during the scheduled time.  Playing in a chess tournament has the expectation of good sportsmanship win or lose.  You should not storm out if you lose nor should you refuse to shake hands or congratulate your opponent for his/her play.  Only directors or their deputies can point out illegal moves by other players while a game is in progress.  If you have a question or problem find a director and get the issue resolved immediately.  Don't wait until after the game is over.

Students withdrawing for any reason are responsible for telling the director so that they are not accidently paired against someone who will be deprived of a game.  Wins by forfeit believe it or not are upsetting to children who want to play someone.  Improper withdrawals may lead to penalties and you wouldn't want it to happen to you, so don't do it to them.

IMPORTANT WAY TO GET A $5.00 DISCOUNT FOR A TEAM OF 4-6 PLAYERS FROM THE SAME SCHOOL.

If you would like to get $5.00 off an entry for a group of students from 4-6, you can pay me directly using this link on my Square.  If you pay this way I STILL need name, USCF ID#, grade, school and section as well as the person who is coaching or sponsoring the child for the day.  I will then register your child manually for any of the students you paid me for directly.

Use this link to register directly with me on my Square:  https://square.link/u/EiqTVMUg

You will then need to email me and give me all the required information so I can hand register them.  There is a flyer for the event provided on the nebraskachess.com website if you prefer to send me a check.  This flyer will have my mailing address.  You can also email at gambiteer49@yahoo.com with any questions.
