If booking for more than 2 guests, choose 2 guests at booking and then note the number of adults and children in the notes/comments. All studio suites have one king bed and one pull out sleeper sofa.
DESCRIPTION:
US Chess rated 5 double round Swiss tournament in 3 sections.
Sections: Open, U1600, K12, K6.
Players may play up. Higher of regular, quick, or blitz rating used for pairing and prizes.
Sections may be combined.
TIME CONTROL: Time control: G/5; d0.
REGISTRATION: US Chess membership is required for all sections. Annual membership is available on uschess.org. If you have not joined US Chess or renewed your membership by January 19, please renew onsite through SACA before the 1st round. Players that cannot show proof of paid membership before the 1st round will not be paired.

Online registration closes Friday, January 10th at noon MST.
Onsite registration: Friday: 5pm – 6pm.
Registrations after 6 pm may receive a ½ point bye for round 1 and be paired for round 2.
There will be a $5 processing fee for any refunds.
ENTRY FEES:
$20 if received by January 11.
$25 if received between January 12 and January 20 (noon).
$30 onsite (Friday on-site entries may receive a 1/2-point bye for 1st round).
SCHEDULE:
First round at 6:30. Subsequent rounds begin as available.
Please arrive by 6:15 pm for pairings and announcements. There is no tournament check-in.
Byes: ½ point byes are available for all rounds if requested prior to start of round one.
An awards ceremony will take place after the last round is completed.
AWARDS:
Open: Prizes based on 12 paid entries. $120-$60. Guaranteed: $90-$45.
U1600: Prizes based on 12 paid entries. $80-$40. Guaranteed: $60-$30.
K12: 1st-3rd place individual trophies. 1st-2nd team trophies.
K6: 1st-5th place individual trophies. 1st-2nd team trophies.
Top 3 scores comprise a team (must be from same school).
EQUIPMENT:
Boards & sets provided. Players are responsible for bringing/setting their own clocks.
