Format: Open, U1600, and U1000 5 Rounds, Swiss System. All games are US Chess-rated. One half-point bye if requested prior to the start of Round 3. Re-entry allowed after Round 1 only (no re-entry in U1000).
Sections: Open, Under 1600, and U1000. No unrated players in the Open Section.
Ratings for Sectioning and Prizes: We will use the November 2022 US Chess Rating Supplement (Regular OTB).
Entry Fees: Open and U1600: $85 through Sat 10/29; $95 beginning Sun 10/30 and onsite; U1000: $25 through Sat 10/29; $30 beginning Sun 10/30 and onsite; Re-entry fee $30. FIDE-Titled players free -- entry fee will be deducted from any prize money earned.
Registration: Online at www.kingregistration.com; or onsite at the playing venue during Friday blitz 11/4 or no later than 8-9:15AM Sat 11/5. Cash, checks, PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App accepted on site.

-- Prizes based on 70 entries in the Main Event (Open and U1600)
-- Open Section (1st-4th): $800, $500, $300, $150; Top Upset Rounds 1 and 2, $25 bookstore credit
-- Under 1600 Section (1st-3rd): $700, $400, $200; Top U1200 $100, Top Unrated $100; Unrated winning a place prize limited to $250. Top Upset Rounds 1 and 2, $25 bookstore credit
-- U1000: Trophies to top 5 overall, Top U800, and Top U600, Medals to other participants with even or plus scores, participation ribbons to remainder of players
