HOUSTON WOMEN & GIRLS 2023 CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

               At The Houston Chess Studio, Nov 25th

One Section.  Saturday Nov. 25th.  6 rounds of G/25, d5.

Open to females of all ages, you don't have to be a Houston resident to enter. 

Overall First Place is guaranteed: $200 and a trophy.  2nd $100 and a medal, 3rd $75 and a medal.  2nd & 3rd place cash prizes based on 24 paid entries.

First Place in lower half is also guaranteed: $100 and a medal. 2nd $75 and a medal, 3rd $50 and a medal.  2nd & 3rd place cash prizes based on 24 paid entries.

PRIZES INCREASE FOR EVERY PAID ENTRY OVER 24! 

All players will receive a 2" medal and a certificate of participation in the Second Annual HOUSTON WOMEN & GIRLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP.

Entry fee $50 by Nov 18th,  $60 thereafter.

Registration ends 8pm Friday Nov 24.

NO ON SITE REGISTRATION.

Round 1 at 9:30am Saturday the 25th.  Subsequent rounds as soon as possible.  30 minute lunch break between rounds 3 and 4.  Last round should finish about 4pm.

Location:  The Houston Chess Studio, 250 Patton Street, Suite H, Houston TX 77009.  Centrally located and easy to get to.  Just inside N. Loop 610 and just 2 blocks off N. I-45. Plenty of FREE PARKING. There are 3 restaurants in the same strip center as The Houston Chess Studio: The Red Hot Noodle (Asian), Subway (sandwiches), and Patron Pizza.  There are several more within walking distance, burgers, TexMex, etc.  Or bring a sack lunch, you can keep it in the Studio refrigerator if you want.
