The Henning Center Chess Tournament
On May 18th Casa de Ajedrez, L3C will be hosting a free unrated community wide chess tournament at the Henning Cultural Center in Sulphur. (923 Ruth St. Sulphur, LA 70663)
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of each division.
Tournament details:
Registration starts at 9am to 9:45am
Tournament starts at 10am
Round 1 - 10am
Round 2 - 11:15am
Round 3 - 12:30pm
Round 4 - 1:45pm
Type of tournament- Swiss
Time controls- 30 minutes with 2 second increments. (30/2i)
4 rounds
4 Divisions (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert)
*Beginner Division is only for children who are new to the game of chess but they know the basics.
Seats are limited
10 players per division. (8 for beginners)
1 half point bye is available per player if requested.
