 FORMAT

This is a four or five round Swiss system tournament based on entries -- final number of rounds to be announced on Friday, June 9th.  This is akin to a bracket system in sports and is not an elimination event.

The time control for the tournament is G/40; d5 -- this means each player has 40 minutes to complete all their moves, and no time is deducted from the clock for the first 5 seconds of each move (a "delay").  Chess notation is required in all sections.

One half-point bye allowed if requested before Round 3.  Requested byes are not revocable after Round 3.  Select a bye during registration ONLY if you know you will be missing a round due to a conflict with another event.

This is not an HRCA Scholastic Cup event.  This is not a Team event.

Boards, sets, clocks, notation sheets, and pencils are provided.
