To support the active Rockford Chess scene we’re featuring a 16 player Chess tournament with a $100 CASH PRIZE to the player that wins the tournament!

Elgibility: All ages / all levels

Location: On the corner of South main st & Morgan st. Rockford, Illinois, 61102 *Event volunteers will assist with parking. It's recommended you get there ASAP*

Prizes: 1st place $100, 2nd place $60, 3rd Place $40

Format: 5 rounds, no eliminations

Time Control: 10 minutes per player, per game. If your clock hits zero, you lose the round! 

Entry: $25. Accepting entries until June, 7th at 1:30pm. No refunds can be given if cancellation happens day of the event.

Player max: 16 players

Equipment is Provided!

Schedule: Check-in is from 12:00pm - 1:30pm: round one starts at 2:00pm. Rest ASAP

Spots are first come first served! Payments preferred in cash or online.

*If there's an uneven number of players, the odd player out will get a full point bye for the round*
