A Warm-Up Tournament for players in the
2024 State Scholastic Tournament

Nevada Chess, the official Nevada Affiliate for the US Chess Federation, and local affiliate Bridgeopolis Chess, will host a rated Chess tournament on February 25, 2024 for youth players registered in any section of the State Scholastic Championship tournament or players who are considering registering but have not yet entered.

 

This tournament is perfect for players who are unrated and those with a provisional rating. Directors will be available to assist new players become accustomed to notation taking and using a chess clock; both of which will be used at the State Scholastic tournament the following Saturday.

 

Players who already have a rating may use this tournament as a refresher to warm-up prior to the epic event to be held on March 2 @ Del Sol HS.

 

We will also accept players who are considering registering for the State Scholastic but have not yet done so.

 

Maximum number of entries: 40. Registration not confirmed until payment received.

Waitlist will start if/when max entries received.
After the waitlist has started, please email chess@bridgeopolis.com and include 
player name, USCF ID, parent name, phone number, and email address. We will contact you if a space becomes available.

Entry fee: $25 by February 23, $40 later. 
Time Control: Four rounds of G/20+10

Maximum two half-point byes available.

Refunds: may be requested prior to the start of Round 1. A $10 processing fee will be withheld from all refunds.

 

 
US Chess Membership is required.
