APRIL 20:  SaturDAY Swiss & SaturNIGHT Blitz

DAYSwiss is USCF rated.  NIGHTBlitz is not.

SaturDAY Swiss: 3 Rounds of G/75, d5.  Round 1 at 11am, rounds 2 & 3 ASAP.  Entry fee is $45 by Thursday April 18, $55 thereafter.  Includes FREE entry into the SaturNIGHT Blitz! SaturDAY Prize fund is 35% of SaturDAY Swiss entry fees. Affects only your regular US Chess rating.

SaturNIGHT Blitz: G/5.  Touch move.  Round 1 at 7pm.  Entry fee is FREE to those who entered the SaturDAY Swiss.  To play in just the Blitz the entry fee is $25 by Thursday April 18, $30 thereafter.  Prize fund is 25% of SaturDAY entry fees PLUS 25% of the Blitz only entries.  Double RR or Double Swiss format, depending on the number of entries. Either way it will be about 2-3 hours of Blitz chess on a SaturNIGHT! Unrated.

THE HOUSTON CHESS STUDIO is Houston's only 'brick and mortar' chess club.  Centrally and conveniently located at 250 Patton Street, Suite H, Houston TX 77009.  Just inside North Loop 610 and only 2 blocks off North I-45.  There are 3 restaurants in the same strip center as THE STUDIO; The Red Hot Noodle (Asian), Subway(sandwiches), and Patron Pizza.  Several other restaurants are within walking distance. Plenty of parking and PARKING IS ALWAYS FREE!
