Byes Limit one half-point bye. Additional byes are OK but are zero points. Final round byes are zero points unless requested before the first round. Contact the organizers at info@growthchess.com to arrange byes.
Equipment chess sets, boards, notation sheets, and pens/pencils are provided. Some chess clocks will be provided, please bring one if you have one.
Supervision Players in K-8th grade MUST have adult supervision at all times.

K-8 Non-Rated: 5 Rounds, Players with ratings above 300 are not eligible for the Non-Rated Section.
K-5 U500: 5 Rounds
K-8 U1000 Rated: 5 Rounds

Scholastic Cup! Determined by top 4 performing elementary school students from same school! Players do not need to be in the same section to compete as a team for the cup.
Points in the K-8 Non-Rated = 1x
Points in the K-8 U1000 = 2x
Points in the K-12 Open = 3x

More than 24 hours before Round 1:
Refund minus $5 administrative fee or one-time transfer to a comparable tournament within 3 months.
Less than 24 hours before Round 1:
50% refund or one-time transfer to a comparable tournament within 3 months.
After Round 1 begins:
Entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
