3 Rounds RR; G30+5.
Players are put into sections of 4 based on published US Chess Regular ratings*.
Note: Sections of over 4 players, paired using Swiss Style, may be created if the total number players is not divisible by 4 and/or by TD discretion to prevent large rating discrepancies within a quad.
Check your rating here: https://ratings.uschess.org/
*USCF Quick, Blitz, or any FIDE/foreign ratings may be used for section eligibility purposes for players without a regular rating. Unrated players will be placed in quads at TD discretion.
Withdrawing from a round robin tournament early negatively impacts your fellow player(s), as they are deprived of a tournament game. Therefore, players who do not play all 3 rounds (except in case of emergency) may be barred from future tournaments.
$25 for all players.
Entry fees are paid onsite upon check-in; cash only. Local players may pre-pay with David at chess club meetings Monday nights at Portillo’s.
$55 to first place in each quad.
Check-in: 9:15am-9:45am
Round 1: 10:00am
Rounds 2 & 3 will start ASAP, generally 5 minutes after the conclusion of the previous round in the quad. As pairings for all rounds are posted at the start, players may begin their next rounds immediately, without waiting for games in other quads to finish.
Estimated End: 1:45pm
Due to the nature of round robin pairings, registrations and check-ins after 9:45am cannot be accommodated.
Please contact the tournament organizer if you have any questions.
