OVERVIEW

• Tournament Format: Round-Robin
• Total Rounds: 3
• Round Times: 2 pm and Rounds 2 & 3 on a rolling schedule
• Time Control: G/30;+5 (Game in 30 minutes with a 5-second increment at each move.)
• Games will be US Chess regular & quick-rated (so called dual-rated).
• Players will be split into groups of four (quads) based on their ratings, from the highest-rated to the lowest-rated.
• In case the last quad is not four players, they will play a mini-3 round Swiss tournament with 5-7 players or they may play double round robin.
• The higher of Monthly published USCF regular rating or live rating will be used for pairing purposes.
• Minor roster shifts to avoid family member pairings may be possible
• No byes are available
• Forfeit time is 30 minutes

Entry Fee:

• $25 on or before November 16^th (Monday)

• $30 through November 20^th (Friday)

• $35 on November 21^st (Saturday) until 12:00 PM (noon)

Refunds are available only for cancellations made on or before Friday, November 20^th, and will incur a $5 administrative fee.

Registrations may also be transferred to a future tournament if requested on or before Friday, November 20^th.
No refunds for no-shows.

PRIZES

For each quad,

- Trophy for 1st place.

- Trophy for 2nd place.

- Participation medals for all other players.

REQUIREMENTS

Players must have current US Chess Federation membership. Expiration date of their US Chess membership must be later than the last day of the tournament.
