OVERVIEW

  • Tournament Format: SWISS

  • Total Rounds: 4

  • Round Times: 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM

  • Time Control: G/40;+10  (Game in 40 minutes with a 10-second increment at each move.)

  • Games will be US Chess rated (USCF Rated).

  • Total 5 Sections: Open, U1800 , U1300 , U800 , U300

  • Lower rated can play in higher section. Unrated can play any section .

  • No Prize for Open Section (Early Entry fee $15)

  • Cash Prizes for the other sections: U1800 , U1300 , U800 , U300 (Early Entry fee $25)

  • Prize: 45% of collected entry fee. Cash Prize for Top 2 in each section equally divided.

  • Prizes are paid through zelle.

  • Sections may be combined if less players.

  • Capacity: 40 players

  • The higher of Monthly published USCF regular rating or live rating will be used for pairing purposes.

  • 2 half point Byes are available. Byes should be requested 30 minutes before round start times. Byes for 3rd and 4th round should be requested before 2nd round start.

  • Forfeit time is 40 minutes

  • Zelle or Credit card payment (incurs processing fee)

Entry Fee:

Open Section

  • $15 through January 4th (Monday)

  • $20 through January 8th (Friday) 

  • $25 through January 9th (Saturday) until 9:30 AM

Other Sections - U1800 , U1300 , U800 , U300

  • $25 through January 4th (Monday)

  • $30 through January 8th (Friday) 

  • $35 through January 9th (Saturday) until 9:30 AM

 No onsite registration

Refunds are available only for cancellations made on or before Friday, January 8th , and will incur a $5 administrative fee.

Registrations may also be transferred to a future tournament if requested on or before Friday, January 8th .
No refunds for no-shows.

PRIZES

Open Section

  • NO Prize.

Other Sections - U1800 , U1300 , U800 , U300

  • Cash prize - 45% of all collected entry fee for these sections.

  • Top 2 in each section. Cash Prize equally divided among 8 winners.

  • Prizes are paid through zelle.

  • In case of ties, cash prize for the specific section and position will be split equally.

REQUIREMENTS

Players must have current US Chess Federation membership. Expiration date of their US Chess membership must be later than the last day of the tournament.
