USCF RATED, open to all ages.  Using the May 2023 Supplement.

3 rounds of G/75, d5.  Round one at NOON, others asap (about 2:30 and 5)

Early Entry Fee  $45 thru May 24th, then $55. Members use your discount coupon!

WHAT'S A QUAD? All the players will be divided into 4 person sections based on their ratings.  The top 4 in a section, the next 4 in a section, etc.  This system avoids the big 'mis-matches' so common in the Swiss System where, in the early rounds, you are often paired with someone over 500 ratings points higher, or lower, than you. Note that the lowest rated section may not have exactly four players.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If you cancel and request a refund $15 will be deducted for processing fees, OR you may use the entire amount as a credit for a future tournament entry fee

Location: The Houston Chess Studio, 250 Patton St, Suite H, Houston TX 77009. Centrally located and easy to get to, just two blocks off I-45 and just inside N Loop 610. Always plenty of FREE parking. There are 3 cafes in the same strip center as The Houston Chess Studio: The Red Hot Noodle (Asian), Subway (sandwiches), and Patron Pizza.  Several others (TexMex, hamburgers, etc.) are within walking distance.
