Section 1: Compete against your peers in a 1-day event with time to think:
Limited to players who already have a United States Chess Federation rating. No rating? See Section 2 below!
Format: Quads. 3-RR. Time Control: G/30d30.
If the number of players is not divisible by 4, extra players will be placed in the lowest group which will then play 3-SS.
Entry Fee: $40 by midnight on May 10 or $45 at the door.
Prize Fund: $100 to the winner of each quad.
Registration: 9 - 9:45. Rounds: 10 - 12 - 2.
No eliminations. Everyone will play all three rounds.
Section 2: Get a nationally recognized chess rating without being thrown to the sharks:
Limited to players who do not yet have a United States Chess Federation rating and Scholastic players under age 14.
Scholastic players under age 14 who already have a USCF rating can play in either section.
Format: Quads. 3-RR. Time Control: G/30d30.

Entry Fee: $10 (USM Students $6) by May 10, or $12 (USM $8) at the door. Trophies to the winner of each quad.

All games will be rated by the United States Chess Federation.
All players must be members of the United States Chess Federation.
All Kansas residents must be members of the Kansas Chess Association.
Memberships in both of the above organizations will be available at the site, but cash or check only. No CC.
Director will play only if there is an odd number of players.
