You may request a 1/2 point bye for round 1, 2, or 3. Additionally you may request a 0 point bye for round 1, 2, or 3 if you already requested a 1/2 point by for another. Rounds 4 and 5 will not allow byes unless a forced bye happens via odd number of players.
If a bye is appointed to you via odd number of players then you will receive a full point for that round no matter what. You will have the option to play a rated game with the tournament director. Regardless of the outcome this game would not affect your standings whatsoever in the tournament only your USCF rating.
Please note that while accelerated pairings are not planned the TD may decide to use accelerated pairings if it is deemed necessary.
2/3 of each entry fee will go to prize fund
