OCTOBER 21st KING OF THE HILL

All entries must be registered by 6:45 PM Oct 21st. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Entry fee is $10 flat — Early, Regular, Late, and Onsite all $10. No refunds for cancellation.

FORMAT: KING OF THE HILL ladder. Board positions are drawn before round 1. After every round, players move boards: winners move up one board; losers move down one board and take Black. A draw on board 1 stays on board 1. Play continues until there is a clear King of the Hill or 9:30 PM. The player holding board 1 at the end is the King and wins $100.

Time control: G/3;+2 (3 minutes with a 2-second increment). Unrated.

$100 guaranteed to the King of the Hill each night. All payouts via PayPal, no exceptions.

Sections: ONE open section for all players (unrated).

HOUSE RULES — CLOCK MOVE: a move is determined when the clock is pressed. If you knock over a piece and do not restore it before pressing your clock while under 1 minute remaining, you lose the game. Any illegal move, or leaving your king in check ("hung king"), can be claimed by the opponent for an immediate win.

Location: Slowpokes, 1203 W 34th St, Suite D, Houston, TX 77018. A coffee/wine bar just south of 34th.
