2024 New Mexico Women’s Open and All-Girls State Championship

  • Entry Fee: $40 by 11:59pm on April 13th, $50 on April 14th
• All-Girls Scholastic Championship: USCF Rated, 4 Round Swiss, g/30d5
  • Entry Fee: $30 by 11:59pm on April 13th , $40 on April 14th

Prizes:

• Women’s Open: 1st - $200, 2nd - $100, Biggest upset - $50
• All-Girls Scholastic: Medals to top 3 girls. Winner will be invited to represent New Mexico at the 2024 Haring National Invitationals in Norfolk, VA at the end of July.

All-Girls Scholastic

• Round 2: 10:30am
• Round 3: 12:30pm

Special Notes:

The New Mexico Girls Championship is the official state girls scholastic championship of New Mexico. It is organized by the New Mexico Chess Organization, the New Mexico state chapter of the United States Chess Federation.

Eligibility: This event is open to all players who identify as Female with US Chess on their player profile.

Byes: Up to 2 optional half-point byes may be requested BEFORE round 1. All byes requested during the event are zero points.

Spectators: No spectators are allowed in playing areas when the games have begun for the day. A designated spectator area will be available.

National Invitationals: The Girls Scholastic Champion qualifies for the 2024 Haring National Invitational tournament with NMCO travel stipend. In case of a tie for first place for the national qualifier spots, the tied eligible players will play pairs of G/3+2 blitz games until there is a winner.​
