Note: The Junior Championships draws inspiration from the National Junior Open, a National Championship held by US Chess
Honestly, the idea is to grow this into a larger event in future years to come.  Prizes are subject to be increased based on participation.

One does not need to be a MN resident.  This is eligible to all individuals aged 21 and under as of 10/25/2026

Team Trophy is a K-12 Scholastic designation.  Eligibility is determined by the K-12 school they attend.  If a Team comprises more than 25% of the field, they may be asked to split up.

Online Pairings will be on mnchess.org
