This fun side event to the US Junior Chess Congress is designed for newer players and for families who are more comfortable having their children play on chesskid.com. It is designed for players 13 years of age and under, and rated less than 1300 on chesskid.com quick chess.

It will be automatically paired on fast chess on Chesskid,com, and will be US Chess online Quick rated.

Format: 5/SS, G/15+5

One section: Open to players 13 years of age and under, and rated lower than 1300 on chesskid.com quick chess

Entry Fee: $20, online entry closes 4/10 9 pm ET

Schedule: Log in to tournament at Chesskid.com by 12:45 pm ET. Round 1 begins at 1:00 pm ET. Rounds 2-5 are automatically paired after each round finishes.Tournament will last about 2.5 hours. 

Prizes: Medals will be shipped to top ten players, and top 3 players rated U1000 in chesskid.com quick chess. Additional prizes may be added.

Important: 

• Complete playing instructions will be sent to the email address provided at registration.
• US Chess Membership is required
• Game results will be checked for fair play both during and after the event.
