4 Total Sections: based on age and grade: TWO USCF Rated Sections and TWO Novice unrated sections
K-3 Novice and 4th-8th grade Novice
Open to players in K-8
This division is for those who are new to tournament chess and are looking to get started with competition. Players should know basic rules of chess including piece movements, check/checkmate and how to play a legal game of chess. Placement trophies to top 5. Everyone else will receive a trophy to mark their achievement for participating in a chess tournament.

Top 5 players will receive a placement trophy. We will have a team award trophy, for the top team. Maximum of 3 player from each school whose score counts for the team.
Tournament Format:
Entry Fee: Scholastic Sections (K-12 sections)
Early Entry by Monday before tournament: $40
Regular Entry day before tournament by 10:00 PM ET: $49
Refund Policy
If you cannot make our event, we require 24 hour notice before the event begins to qualify for a refund
Refunds will be issued in form of the entry refund less the charges we incur for processing the registration which is ~$5
