POISON PAWNS Chess Club meets every Friday night at The Houston Chess Studio, 250 Patton suite H, Houston TX 77009 for the monthly G/60, d5 tournament.  One game every Friday night. New tournament starts first Friday of every month.

Drop in any Friday night and play a round in our 'Flexible Friday' Tournament.

ALL AGES WELCOME!

Here's how it works: Every month we start a new tournament on the first Friday of the month.  One round each Friday.  Rounds start at 7PM.  To play you must be registered by 6:50PM.  If you want to pay in advance for the entire month you can for $55 in a five Friday month, and $45 in a four Friday month.  OR, you can drop in any Friday and play a game in that week's round for $15; for pairing purposes you will be given 1/2 point byes for any previous unplayed rounds.  YOU ONLY PAY FOR WHAT YOU NEED!

Prize fund is 40% of all entry fees. Plus the winner gets a $50 bonus if scoring a perfect 5-0! ($75 in a four Friday month for 4-0).  To be eligible for any cash prize you must have no more than one bye. 

Either way you register, for the whole month or one week at a time, your registration includes a $5 credit in the club vending machines.  Use it or lose it!
