In addition to its Tuesday meetings at Turners Club in Aurora (no registration required), the Fox Valley Chess Club offers supervised chess play at Golconda Banquet Hall on Ogden in Naperville, near Patel Brothers, 6:30pm to 8:30pm Thursdays.
Due to limited space, we ask that all players pre-register here. Golconda has a wonderful Indian "street food" special on Thursdays, an amazing buffet for $15 for adults and $10 for children. (Please tip generously!)
Children below high school age are NOT allowed to be dropped off, parents must remain on site. All equipment is provided and games are supervised to ensure chess rules are followed and players are paired with comparable opponents.
Folks are allowed one free attendance -- after which they must either join the club on a quarterly basis -- or pay a per day fee of $10, as space allows.

Notes:
Note 1: Personally I'm a big fan of notation. However, at club, unless BOTH players agree to take notation, it is not considerate for one player to notate without the other. Please be courteous in that regard.
Note 2: Folks who do not show up for their reserved spot without communication will be asked to sit out a week, with escalating consequences for future no-shows.
Note 3: This is not a chess lesson -- it is an opportunity for folks who already know how to play chess (to some degree) to get paired in casual games for a few hours. If needed, the club can refer individuals to a number of excellent instructors and programs.
Note 4: Please report your result promptly to Coach Bill in order to get paired with another player. Instant rematches are discouraged.
Note 5: Registration closes at 10am on the day of the club meeting.
Note 6: We love Golconda's food -- but there is to be NO EATING at the boards while games are played.
