To support the active Rockford Chess scene we’re featuring a 8 player Chess tournament with a $150 CASH PRIZE to the player that wins the tournament!
Elgibility: All ages / all levels
Location: Levings Park 1420 S. Pierpont Ave., Rockford, IL 61102
Prizes: 1st place $150, 2nd place $100, 3rd Place $50
Format: 5 rounds, no eliminations
Time Control: 10 minutes per player, per game. If your clock hits zero, you lose the round!
Entry: $25. Accepting entries until June, 28th at 1:30pm. No refunds can be given if cancellation happens day of the event.
Player max: 8 players
Equipment is Provided!
Schedule: Check-in is from 2:00pm - 2:30pm: round one starts at 3:00pm. Rest ASAP
Spots are first come first served! Payments preferred in cash or online.
*If there's an uneven number of players, the odd player out will get a full point bye for the round*
