Get ready for one of the most exciting scholastic chess events of the year at the MVP Chess Tournament, hosted in the stunning Winter Garden at Harold Washington Library. With skyline views and high-level competition, this is where preparation meets opportunity.
Team Limits:
10 students per High School
5 students per Elementary School
Tournament Format:
5-round Swiss-style tournament, G/20 d2.
All players will be required to use a clock.
This time control means each player has 20 minutes to complete their game, with a 2-second delay before their clock begins on each move.

• 9th – 10th Grade*
• 6th – 8th Grade
• 3rd – 5th Grade
• K – 2nd Grade
*Sections may be combined if registration numbers require.
