Description: US Chess rated 5 round Swiss tournament in 10 section based upon grade.
Sections: KG through 8th grade and High School (9th-12th). Players MUST register in their current grade level and may not play up. Sections may be combined.
Time Control: G/40:d5
Registration: US Chess membership is required for all sections. Annual membership is available at uschess.org
If you have not joined US Chess or renewed your membership by January 10th, please renew onsite through NACC BEFORE the first round. Players who cannot show proof of paid membership before the 1st round will not be paired and will NOT receive a bye point.

Online registration closes Saturday, January 11th at 0800.
Onsite registration is Saturday January 11th from 0800-0830 for $75
Registrations after 0830 will not receive a point for round 1 and be paired for Round 2
There will be a $5 processing fee for any and all refunds. No shows will not be refunded.
Entry Fee:
$50 if received by December 26, 2024
$60 if received between December 27, 2024- January 9, 2025
$75 after January 9, 2025 (Saturday January 11th, on site entries may receive a 1/2 point bye for 1st round if registered and have an active USCF number prior to 8:30am)
Schedule:
Please arrive by 0845 for pairings and announcements. There is no tournament check in.
Byes: 1/2 point byes are available for all rounds if requested prior to start of Round 1.
Awards ceremony will take place after the last round is completed.

K,1st, 7th, 8th & 9-12th Sections: 1st-3rd place individual trophies, 1st-3rd place team
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th Sections: 1st-5th place individual trophies, 1st-3rd place team
***Top 3 scorers per grade comprise a team.
Participation trophies to all KG players.
Medals to all scoring at least 3.5 points but not receiving a trophy
Participation ribbons to all.
Equipment:
Boards and sets will be provided. Players are responsible for score sheets, pencils and for bringing and setting their own clocks.
Sets will be available for purchase for $5 following the tournament. Notation books will be available for $5
