- Open (USCF 1200 and up)
- Under 1200 (USCF 1199 and below)
Dual-rated. US Chess Membership required to play. No playing up.
SATURDAY, JULY 18th:
Round 1 - 10:00am
Round 2 - 12:15pm
Round 3 - 2:45pm
Round 4 - 5:15pm
SUNDAY, JULY 19th:
Round 5 - 12:15pm
Round 6 - 2:45pm
Space is limited to 50 players total.
Player check-in is from 9:15-9:45am on Saturday. Players not checked in by 9:45am will not be paired for Round 1.
Pre-registration is required to play in round 1. Pre-registration closes at 10pm on Friday, July 17th. On-site registrations will receive a zero-point bye for round 1.
Two half-point byes in total are allowed, but only one bye is permitted for Sunday. Round 1 byes must be requested before 8am on July 18th. All other byes must be requested prior to the start of round 3.
BYO tournament sets and clocks. A limited number of sets and clocks will be provided. Notation is required in both sections. Exemptions to notation must be requested in advance, and will be granted only to players who are under 10 years old and meet one of the following criteria: 1) Rated under 600 USCF, or 2) New to US Chess (membership less than 3 months). Players who are granted an exemption will have 10 minutes subtracted from their clocks at the start of each round.
DGT boards and USCF-approved notation devices are permitted. Players who intend to use either must notify the TDs via email by 10pm on July 17th, and must arrive by 9:30am on the 18th to show the notation device to the TD. Players are responsible for setting up their own DGT boards.
Medals for 1st-3rd place in each section. Awards immediately following round 6.
