2026 Mark Bland Club Championship- 5SS G/65;d5. 1 round each Thursday in October. Rounds start at 7:30 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach. 2 sections possible.One 1/2 point bye available but must be requested prior to start of round 3.Cash prizes based on entries. Plaques to top Open and Amateur finisher. EF-$ 25 advance, $28 onsite. !!THIS IS THE 1ST ECH CUP EVENT!!

Separate Side Event- 1900 and above swiss tournament-  this is a test tournament(but still rated) to see if we can get enough players in this rating range to complete a five round event. In order to be eligible for this section, you need to be currently 1900 or above(published or actual) OR  you have been above 1900 at any point since  10/1/2026. This rating requirement is based on regular rating only. If you are currently above 1900, but still meet the criteria, let me know when I will manually register you and you can pay on site. All time control/bye info same as club champ. THIS IS NOT A CASH PRIZE SECTION.  If we start to build up enough players for this section, we will consider prizes for the future. This is however still eligible as an ECH Cup event. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE ABOVE 1900 AND YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE REGULAR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP, YOU ABSOLUTELY MAY. THIS IS ONLY AN OPTION FOR THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING TO PLAY PEOPLE IN THEIR RATING RANGE, BUT IT DOES NOT EXCLUDE THEM FROM PLAYING IN THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. EF $15 advance, $18 onsite
