  • 7th Grade (6th graders may register in this section)*

  • No K-5 entries will be accepted.
  • *Junior High Divisions will be rated, USCHESS Membership is required.

• The organizer reserves the right to alter the format/sections based on attendance.

Playing Schedule

• Check-in/Registration: 8:00-8:45 am.
• Round 1 will begin no later than 9:30 am.
• The following rounds are paired as soon as the previous round is done.

• 7th grade - Top 3 Individual 
• 8th grade - Top 3 Individual
• High School Open - Top 3 Individual
• High School Team - Top 3 Teams
• Bughouse
  • Top Middle School Team
  • Top High School Team

Tournament Entry Fees

• $5 if registered online by 11/6/2026, $10 if registering at the Door. 
• Limited to the first 250 entries 
• ALL Payments will be collected at the door. 
• Players registering at the door might not be paired in the first round.
• No Online Entries will be accepted after 3 PM on Friday, November 6th. 
• USCF membership required for Junior High Divisions
  • Memberships (1 year) will be available from the Greater Peoria Chess Foundation for $9 at the tournament, a maximum of $99 per school. GPCF will cover the cost of anyone over the 11 players. GPCF will cover the cost of any Peoria Public Schools students. Make membership checks payable to GPCF. Players registering without a membership should use 99999999 as their ID# when registering.

What to Bring

• Clocks - at least half the amount of players    
• Notation Sheets/Pencils - There will be some available
• Money or food for lunch and snacks – Concessions will be available.
• Boards/ Pieces will be provided by GPCF.
