Open to players entering grades: K-8 (Students will be grouped according to ratings for instruction)

Thursday -- 9am--5pm
Friday* optional -- Rated Tournament (K-12) at Metcalf. Included in registration fee.

Illinois Chess Association is sponsoring a one-day chess camp in Normal which will provide chess instruction from a FIDE Master and International Master as well as other instruction from experienced coaches. The majority of the time during camp will be spent in lessons and playing chess. Kids will also participate in other activities, such as outdoor play on the playground (if weather allows) or indoor PE games. Pizza lunch will be provided. A detailed agenda will be shared the week of the event. Due to space, the camp will have a maximum capacity of 50 students.
