2025 Illinois All-Grade Chess Championship

Description

Swiss System in 10 to 13 sections (depending on entries): Players compete only against players in their grade with Grades K-8 in 9 sections. Players are not permitted to play up into a higher section in the All Grade.

All players must be residents of the state of Illinois. The top three players count toward the team score. No Club Teams. No byes last round. Byes for any single round must be requested before the end of the first round. Only one half-point bye is allowed per player. Additional missed rounds receive no points. All other rules/regulations shall follow ICA By-laws and the USCF Rulebook.

Playing Schedule:

Grades K-3; G/30;d5, 5-SS, (9:00am, 10:15am, 12 Noon, 1:15pm, 2:30pm)

Grades 4-5; G/45;d5, 5-SS, (9:00am, 10:45am, 12:30pm, 2:15pm, 4:00pm)

Grades 6-12; G/60;d5, 4-SS, (9:00am, 11:15am, 1:30pm, 3:45pm)

Food, Chess Store, and T-shirt vendors will be on-site.

5 Individual Trophies for each grade K-1

3 Team Trophies per each grade in K-1

10 Individual Trophies for each grade 2-5

10 Individual Trophies for each grade 6-8

3 Team Trophies per each grade in 6-8

3 Individual Trophies for grades 9-12 in each High School Class.

Tournament Entry Fees

$50 if registered and paid online by MIDNIGHT on 11/11/2025
$60 if registered and paid online by NOON on 11/14/2025
$70 if registering and paying at the DOOR

Players registering at the door might not be paired in the first round.
USCF membership required
- Memberships (1 year) will be available from the Greater Peoria Chess Foundation for $9 at the tournament.
  Make membership checks payable to GPCF. Players registering without a membership should use 99999999 as their ID# when registering.
