Open to players entering grades: K-8 (Students will be grouped according to ratings for instruction)

Thursday -- 9am--5pm
Friday* optional -- Rated Tournament at Mark Bills Middle School in Peoria. Included in registration fee.

Illinois Chess Association is sponsoring a one day chess camp in Normal which will provide chess instruction from a FIDE Master and International Master as well as other instruction from experienced coaches. Majority of the time during camp will be spent in lessons and playing chess. Kids will also participate in other activities like outside play on the playground (if weather allows) or indoor PE games. Pizza lunch will be provided. A detailed agenda will be shared the week of the event. Due to space, the camp will have a maximum capacity of 50 students.
