Iowa ’21 Rockefeller National Tournament of Elementary School (K - 5th Grade) Champions Qualifier
Iowa Rockefeller National Tournament of Champions Qualifying Tournament.
The top finisher will represent the State of Iowa at the 2021 National Rockefeller Tournament of Elementary School Champions. All registration contributions will go towards stipends intended to cover registration fees and travel expenses of the three High School, Middle School, and Elementary School champions.

Open to all Elementary School (Grade K-5) scholastic players from Iowa. Organizers retain the right to restrict total entries based on space and social distancing measures. Enter early to ensure attendance!

From I-35, take Exit 90 in Ankeny and head approximately 3.5 miles west to NW 84th Ave. Turn Left on 84th Ave and head south approximately 1.5 miles to Cottonwood Recreation Area on the right.

Rockefeller (K-5): Trophies for 1st through 3rd Place and Top U1000, Top U800, Top U600, Top Unrated
Trophies Ceremony: 2:30pm or earlier upon completion of the fourth round.
The top finisher will represent Iowa in the 2021 National Tournament of Elementary School Champions and will receive a stipend from IASCA to help cover registration and travel fees. If a tie, the tiebreaker is as follows: one game of 10+2, color choice given to higher-rated player. If 10+2 game is drawn, one Armageddon game, where white receives 5 minutes, black 4, but black has draw odds, is to be played. The higher-rated player will again have a color choice.
Entry is free to any Iowa player who wishes to play. One hundred percent of donations raised go to stipends used to support our players representing Iowa at Nationals.

USCF Membership: Is required and will be donated by All Access Chess for all registered participants that need renewal or a new membership. *PLEASE ENTER 99999999 as your US Chess ID when registering if this is your first US Chess Rated event* This will allow you to register without a membership.

8:30am to 9:00am. Players registering after 9:00 am will receive 1/2 point 1st round bye.
Players that registered in advance, please check-in at the registration table and verify that your information is correct on the Advanced Entry list in order to be paired in the first round.
COVID Requirements: Per CDC guidelines, All Access Chess will be implementing the lowest risk guidelines for Parks and Recreational Facilities. Masks will be required, and 6-foot social distancing guidelines will be in place. Thank you for your cooperation in making this a safe and fun event for our community!
