Additional Information:
The Southwest Chess organization's goal with the Glendale Open is to create a tournament equally appealing to both Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced players in formality, atmosphere, and overall aesthetic. We employ a universally accepted time control (40 minutes) in order to cater to mare rapid and more classical players. The Glendale open is maintained professionally, ensuring that all rounds rarely start after the scheduled time, and also hosted in a clean, atmospheric environment so as not to alienate our players.
However, above all, we wish for our players to have Fun and to Learn. We want to make that happen!
