Format:
- Three sections: All sections are USCF Rated
- Championship (1600+), 5-round Swiss, G/60+30
- Entry Fee: $50 by 11:59pm on 5/1, $60 after 11:59pm on 5/1
- FIDE titled players and USCF National Masters may get free entry before 4/26. Email king@abqchessclub.org to get free registration. (Entry fee will be deducted from prize money)
- U1800, 5-round Swiss, G/60+30

- U1200, 5-round Swiss, G/40d5
- Entry Fee: $40 by 11:59pm on 5/1, $50 after 11:59pm on 5/1
- Live ratings will be used for pairings and prizes
- Accelerated pairings may be used if more than 24 players register in a section
Prizes (based on 48 players):
- Championship (1600+): 1st - $400, 2nd - $200, u1800 - $120
- U1800: 1st - $300, 2nd - $140, u1400 - $80
- U1200: 1st - $140, 2nd - $80, u800 - $40

Registration:
- USCF Membership required for all sections. To get a USCF membership, go to https:new.uschess.org/join-us-chess or contact king@abqchessclub.org for help
- Online Registration is open until 9am on Saturday, May 2nd
- On-site Registration closes 30 minutes prior to Round 1. Players registering after this time or registering without a valid USCF ID may receive a zero-point bye for Round 1.
Special Notes:
200-Point Rule: Must be within 200 points of next section to play up. Players may use the following to qualify. No exceptions: current published rating, recent supplement rating, or live rating
Byes: Up to 2 optional half-point byes may be requested BEFORE round 1. All byes requested during the event are zero points.
Unrated players: Unrated players may play in u1200 section and are eligible for half the prize amounts awarded. Unrated players are not eligible for class prizes (under prizes).
Spectators: No spectators are allowed in playing areas when the games have begun for the day. A designated spectator area will be available.
Electronic Devices: Electronic devices are not allowed on any player’s person during their matches. This includes smart phones, smart watches, and other devices that may connect to the Internet. Failure to follow this rule will result in forfeiture of your match. ChessNoteR6 and ChessNoteR9 are allowed for electronic notation.
