Round 1: Friday October 10 @ 6:00pm

Round 2: Saturday October 11 @ 10:00am

Round 3: Saturday October 11 @ 4:00pm

Round 4: Sunday October 12 @ 10:00am

Round 5: Sunday October 12 @ 4:00pm

Schedule: Two-day (Rounds 1 and 2 G/65d5)

Round 1: Saturday October 11 @ 10:00am

Round 2: Saturday October 11 @ 1:00pm

Merge with three-day after Round 2

 

Prizes

$1000.00 based on 20 paid players.

With 20 players:

Top Prize:  400 + trophy

Second:    250

U2000: 200 + free entry into any Reno Chess Club money tournament in 2025/2026

U1600: 150 + free entry to any Reno Chess Club money tournament in 2025/2026

U1200: Free entry into any Reno Chess Club Saturday Quad tournament in 2025/2026

All prizes adjusted proportionally for more or fewer players.

 

 

Maximum number of entries: 60. Registration not confirmed until payment received.

Entry fee: $95 by October 8, $110 later. 

Other:

  • The three top scorers will play the top three scorers from Southern Nevada in an online tournament at the Mathewson Bridge Center on November 7-9, 2025 for a Round Robin Tournament for the title of State Champion. Details TBA.
  • The three top scorers U1600 will also play the top three scorers in the U1600 category from Southern Nevada in an online tournament at the Mathewson Bridge Center on November 7-9, 2025 for a Round Robin Tournament for the title of NV Reserve Champion. Details TBA.

Maximum two half-point byes available.

If insufficient entrants in the 2-day, they will be given a ½ point bye for the Friday round and join the Saturday/Sunday 3-day schedule.

All players should bring sets and clocks!

The tournament will use the October 2025 rating supplement.

Players must reside in Nevada in one of the following counties/cities and have their eligible address on file with USCF:

Washoe, Humboldt, Elko, Pershing, Storey, Churchill, Lander, Eureka, White Pine, Lyon, Douglas, Mineral and Carson City

 

 

US Chess Membership is required.
