A United States Chess National Qualifying Event for the 2024 Ruth Haring National Girls Tournament of Champions

Dates: Saturday, February 17th

Check In:  No later than 8:30 AM on February 14th.

Mississippi Residents Only – The Mississippi Girls State Chess Championship is an officially rated US Chess tournament.  US Chess membership is required and student membership is available at uschess.org.

Schedule:  4 Rounds no elimination.  All rounds will be played 45 minutes for each player with 15 seconds added to the player’s clock for each move completed.

Saturday:  9:00 AM, 11:15 AM, 2:15 PM, 4:30 PM

Awards Ceremony to follow last round or tiebreaks.  Plaques or trophies will be given for the top 3 finishers.

One half-point bye only is available and must be requested before the start of the tournament.
