Sections:

• Open (FIDE rated): $1500 - 800 - 500 (top 3 guaranteed). Top Under 2300: $400 - $200
• Under 2100: $1000 - 500 - 300 - 150
• Under 1800: $1000 - 500 - 300 - 150
• Under 1500: $1000 - 500 - 300 - 150
• Under 1200: $500 - 300 - 200

Players may play up at most one section.

Unrated players limited to 50% of prize except in open section.

Entry Fee for all sections:

• $120 by 8/17, $130 after that or onsite
• GM, IM, WGM, WIM free. Entry fee will be deducted from prize.
• Reentry $40 (not available in Open section or players in 2-day schedule).

Schedule and Time Control:

• 3-day schedule (G/90;+30): Friday 7:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m., Sunday 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m.
• 2-day schedule (1st two rounds G/60;+10, then G/90;+30): Saturday 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., Sunday 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m.

Bring sets and clocks, none provided, though there will be a few for sale on site.

September official ratings used. Unofficial US Chess ratings used if otherwise unrated.

Players must reveal foreign, FIDE, and any other over the board ratings. These ratings, adjusted, may be used, if higher than US Chess ratings. Notation is required in all sections. Only US Chess approved electronic scoresheet devices are allowed (in non-FIDE sections only).

Default time for no-shows for all sections is 1 hour after the start of the round.

Byes: Limit 1 half-point bye (any round). Must be requested before round 2. Discounted entry fee available to players in financial need.

Doubles Bonus Prize: $200 - 100. Best male/female or female/female 2-player "team" combined score among all sections. Must average under 2200. Players may be from different sections or from the same section. Register by 5:00 p.m. Saturday 2nd. Prize limits do not apply to Doubles prize. No additional fee to register.

Blitz tournament: Saturday September 2nd at 9:30 p.m. Register by 9:15 p.m. More details on-site.
