PLAYING SITE: Country Inn & Suites at 1250 S. Moorland Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005; 262-782-1400. Chess Rate of $109; please call hotel and mention chess rate.

 

FORMAT: A one section Swiss tournament where everyone plays ten games (5 rounds of 2 games vs each opponent). Current US Chess Membership is required. Organizers reserve the right to choose the highest of the published ratings (Regular, Rapid, Blitz, Online Regular, Online Rapid, Online Blitz) for the purpose of pairings, and prizes. Only blitz ratings are affected by this event. Time control is g/3+2 (three minutes for the whole game with a 2-second increment per move).

 

ROUNDS: round 1 begins at 8:00pm on Saturday, October 14th. Subsequent rounds are ASAP.

 

PRIZES ($500 Guaranteed): $200-$100 plus $200 in class prizes (5-8 players per class).

 

ENTRY FEE: Early Bird Special EF is $30 if entered by October 12th. Regular EF is $40. Online registration ends at 7:45pm on October 14th. Refunds: $5 processing fee.

 

EQUIPMENT: uniform equipment (boards, sets, clocks) is provided and should be used
