"A Knight's Chess Obsession II"

The Chess Enterprise, in association with The Secret Dark Knight Society, presents The Swiss 4|45: "A Knight's Chess Obsession II", OTB chess tournament. Four games, game in 45 with a 5 second delay.  Players are divided into 2 sections. Boards and sets provided, please bring clocks. Open to adult players age 18 and up (players under 18 may be permitted with organizer approval if accompanied by a playing relative). Play may be outdoors, depending on weather.

(Playing site is a private residence, in a quiet neighborhood.)

 

Player limit: 28 players total, all sections.
Date: Saturday September 17, 2022
Format: 4 SS.  G/45 d5.  2 Sections.  US Chess rated event.
Rounds: Rd1: 10:30 am, Rd2: 1 pm, Rd3: 3:00 pm, Rd4: 5 pm or ASAP. Lunch break after Rd 1.
Sections: Premier Section (open to 1500/up), Reserve Section U1500

 

Prizes: Projected Prize Fund is $500.00 in 2 sections based on 28 paid entries. 

• Premier:        $150 - $80  1st   U1900: $70.
• Reserve:        $100 - $60  1st   U1200: $40.

 

Entry Fee:

• $40 online after or on-site. (cash, card OK)

 

Registration:                        Advance entry is strongly recommended

• Onsite: Saturday, 10 am to 10:20 am.
• Online: Online registration system will close Friday, September 16, 11:00 pm EST, or when the 28 player limit is reached.
• Bye: One ½-point bye OK for any round, must be requested before the start of round 2.
• Rating: Dual Rated, based on September 2022 Rating Supplement.
• TD reserves the right to use accelerated Swiss pairings.
• Refund minus a $3 admin fee, requested before round 1.
